Hoyt - 1-year old male, black Lab

Hoyt is a happy and very friendly 1-year old male, black Lab.

He came to us as a stray, but he clearly has been in a home before because he definitely knows how to be somebody's best friend.

He still has some puppy playfulness in him, but he's a very sweet dog who definitely wants to please his people. This guy would make for a great family dog.

He's also make a great jogging partner or a playmate for your bouncy dog.

Hoyt has been diagnosed with kennel cough, so he needs someone to watch over him the next couple of weeks.

Boyd (10912841) 1-year old Lab/Heeler

Boyd is a very handsome, 1-year old Lab mixed with possibly Heeler.

He's a friendly and outgoing boy who still has quite a bit of puppy energy left in him.

He was just neutered, and then we discovered he has kennel cough. So this guy could use some help to recover from both his surgery and his being sick.

7-week old Beagle/Dachshund puppy

Okay. I could tell you this little pup is a Beagle/Dachshund mix with a docked tail...which looks a little weird, but is awfully cute.

I could tell you he's 7 weeks old, so we'd be looking to get him into a foster home for a week or so.

But seriously...do I need to tell you anything, or is looking at him enough?

Jane is a very sweet 10-12 month old Boxer/Shepherd mix who isn't a bit calamitous.

She came to us as a stray, but she has obviously been someone's best friend. She's very friendly and outgoing. Get within striking distance, and Jane will give you kisses.

Jane still has some puppy energy in her, but also knows the value of just chilling out and relaxing.

She has been diagnosed with kennel cough. We're looking for someone who can take her for two weeks to help her recover.

Others In Need Of Foster Care

I don't have photos on these kids yet, but I have two other dogs I'm looking to get into foster care.

Shenzi is a 1-2 year old Shepherd mix. She is a shy girl who responds better to females than she does to men. She could use some help with her socialization in addition to helping her get over her kennel cough.

If you have a dog in your home, you should probably introduce him/her to Shenzi before taking this girl into foster care. She isn't bad with all dogs, but she is careful about who she does, and does not, trust around her.

Megan is a 4-month old Chihuahua/Sheltie mix. She's a sweet little puppy with good energy. She also has kennel cough and needs to be out for 2 weeks to help her recover.

Caribou, 3-4 year old Beagle

Caibou is a very handsome and quite charming 3-4 year old Beagle.

He's a small boy, closer in size to a Rat Terrier or Jack Russell than he is to fellow Beagles, but what he lacks in size he makes up for in heart.

Caribou has been diagnosed with kennel cough. He needs to be out of the shelter for 2 weeks to help his recovery.

Laika is a very sweet, 2-year old, female Pointer/Border Collie mix...most likely.

This girl is an absolute doll who loves to be around people. She's actually the type I'd describe as a velcro-dog as once she sticks to you, she doesn't want to let go.

She's been diagnosed with kennel cough and could use someone to foster her for two weeks to help her recovery.

Osage (10912818) 3-month old Lab pup

Osage is a very handsome 3-month old Lab puppy in need of a great foster home.

It's hard to see in the photo, but Osage has a spot of ringworm on his nose.

The course of treatment for this is fairly simple. He will need a Lime/Sulphur did every 3-5 days for a month. We would provide the lime/sulphur mix for you.

Now that stuff can be kind of stinky. So, as an alternative, you can appy anti-fungal cream (like what you might use for athlete's foot) to the area for a month.

The main issue in dealing with ringworm is that it can be spread to other animals and to people. Therefore, Osage would have to be isolated from your other pets and you'd want to wear gloves when giving him his treatment.

It's totally worth the time and effort though, as this is a great little dog.

Mocha is a 10-12 month old Pointer/Shepherd mix. She came to us as a stray.

She's a shy girl at first and submissive in general, but once she becomes comfortable is a very happy and friendly girl. She loves to give kisses.

Mocha has been diagnosed with kennel cough and is on meds for such through July 20th. If you can foster this girl, please let me know.
